Mychoice,

Welcome to our wonderful AHC support community and congrats on taking the first steps to getting the help you need.

Start working through the program, a big component of it is learning about yourself so you can better understand your addiction.

Some people find that taking a break from drinking for awhile realy helps them get control of their alcohol use.

Start reading through the forums, you'll find there are many people out there you can relate to.

To sign up for the email and text support, go to your personal profile and just click on the "subscribe" buttons.

Check back soon and let us know how you are doing!

Hi,

I'm new this week.  My ultimate goal would be to stop drinking completly.  I'm thinking about giving up drinking for Lent and am trying to mentally prepare myself for this.

I've tried several times to sign up for the email and text support and have not received either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mychoice
