Hi John,
Boy it sure sounds like you are doing great on your quit journey. A positive attitude goes a long way.  Does your wife smoke? I'll bet Max is LOVING you not stinking of cigarettes anymore!  Be sure and keep your guard up though. Calm and relaxed today, possibly very stressed out tomorrow, you just never know.  "life just gets better and better on my quit journey " Yes it does. Enjoy your FREEDOM John!
Stay strong.

Hi StellaBlue

Thank you, I was wondering if other members also felt calmer, Today has been very nice and calm as I was asleep most of it  but I'm up now and feeling relaxed and happy, my Wife is off to bed soon so I'm going to watch some TV with Max then do some gaming later, life just gets better and better on my quit journey

Have a happy smoke free day

"from starting my quit I feel a lot calmer" - yes yes YES!  Isn't that an amazingly pleasant surprise?  Leading up to my quit, I thought there was simply never going to be a way to soothe my anxieties and irritations ever again.  Little did I know, that by quitting smoking I was actually going to PREVENT a ton of anxieties and irritations from ever coming up in the first place.  I am a much less anxious person since quitting smoking, now that my blood pressure isn't all over the place from the nicotine intake/withdrawal process and I'm no longer stressed out about quitting smoking or figuring out when I can smoke and hide it... Enjoy the serenity, it just gets better from here.

Good evening

Change of plan tonight I was going to play EVE On line (great space game and free on Steam Platform) but had a phone call from work two now off sick so I'm going in to do a extra shift (overtime), now before I started my quit I would have not been to happy giving up one of my nights off and smoked even more, but today I don't mind (I can game tomorrow night), from starting my quit I feel a lot calmer and I will be on 1 1/2 times pay tonight

Hi John, keep up the great work. Sounds like you are doing well. Stay focused and don't let that nico devil trick you into thinking you can have just one. I have now really begun to notice how much my sense of smell is returning and I am really looking forward to this fall so that I can enjoy all the wonderful smells of that season.as it has been a long time since I have. As of now I am enjoying smelling all of those barbecues going that I was missing before and it's making me hungry. LOL Have a wonderful smoke free day!

Hi John,
Feels rather good not huffing and puffing doesn't it!  And just think, you've only been a quitter for 8 days. It's going to get much better for you down the road if you keep your quit going. You have a great day too!
Stay strong.

Just got home from work 6:40am, I have been in the same job for 12 years now and I walk to work (about 20 mins each way) going to work is easy down hill but its uphill coming home and its getting easier each day, this is a very noticeable difference to me because Im not puffing and blowing by the time I get home

Hope you all have a good day
