Greger, you can grab an extra straw at any fast food place or coffee shop. I learned early on to lay off the sticky hard candies, jerkies, gum, etc. when my fillings started coming loose. A bottle of ice cold water or tea is a great distractor. Eventually, you'll get beyond that need to have something in your mouth all the time...that is a great feeling! My 0 calorie surrogates are kitchen matches, I just happened to have a box of them on my desk the day I quit. I've been meaning to get some of those little coffee straws, I've never noticed but I guess they sell 'em at the supermarket..... I used to suck on straws, shorts ones, you could chew them too if you wanted...they have less calories than what you've been using. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 182 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,550 Amount Saved: $1,920.10 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 6 Mins: 5 Seconds: 52

What's in yours? I'm so utterly sick of Altoids, matchsticks and sugar free gum that I'm looking for new horizons in things to stick in my mouth when the junky tells me to smoke. I just added beef jerky to mine, pretty good stuff, it lasts a while and isn't terribly unhealthy.
