Patch Problem

Ouch! That doesn't sound good Taanoir; maybe you're building up an allergic reaction to the patch brand you're using?  Before my final Cold Turkey quit, I used the patch a number of times and I did have the same reaction at times.  I found out I was reacting to the adhesive/nicotine combination, and there were some brands of patches that I was much more sensitive to.  Maybe you could experiment with a different brand?  Also, I'm just wondering if you've consulted your Doc yet about this? You know it may be a good idea, just to be sure it isn't dangerous for your health.  For me though, the cheap generic drugstore patches that look like beige bandaids (and really don't want to stay on very well) caused the least redness and itching.  But they still itched a bit  anyway and the redness stayed for longer and longer once my body decided to react to the patches that way.  I do hope you can find a solution that works for you!  You're doing so well!  Good luck : )

For the last week or so I put my patch on in the morning when I take it off at night I have a huge raised red swollen lump, it goes away after about 4 days, they itch like mad and a couple have scabbed over. Has anyone else had this side effect? I move the patches everyday and go in a pattern to insure each area has a full week between patches.
