What positive changes have you noticed?

Hi Ready2Quit,

It feels great doesn't it?!!  Congratulations on getting through the first week and focusing on all the positives - because there are many!
What can you share with other members that helped you through the first 7 days?

I apologize if this topic already exists - but I thought we should have a place to share the positive changes we notice as a result of quitting smoking.

I noticed one earlier today. I never really considered that I wasn't as physically capable as I would be if I didn't smoke. I thought I could probably breathe 90% as good as I could not smoking.

Before quitting, when I climbed the stairs at work, I would be breathing relatively hard (just hard enough that I couldn't conceal it in a quiet room. If I tried, I'd just end up taking a bigger, louder breath all of a sudden) and that would last for about a minute.

Today, after one week of not smoking, I climbed the stairs and I didn't feel anything. It was like I'd just walked across the room.

Fantastic! :)

Also, the yellow stains on my teeth are lifting very quickly. I can already smile again without instantly closing my lips, hahaha.

And the bags under my eyes are going away and my skin is getting a slightly healthier colour. It was always peach, but now there's a faint hint of redness that is gone and replaced by more peach.

What about you?
