Hi Dunedad! Welcome! I looked like a cow chewing cud for the first few months after I quit smoking.  I think my chewing even created a micro-fracture in one of my teeth. But it was worth it to have the demon off of my back.  The dentist will just put a cheap sealant in the tooth when the fracture becomes a little more pronounced. One of the nice things about quitting smoking for me is that I was able to take off 69 lbs because I can now work out. Before I used to get too winded to do much, and I was fat. So although smoking didn't cause my obesity, it was helping to keep me obese on top of the fact that it was killing me in lots of other ways. No more! After a while, you'll know and new freedom and a new happiness. This feels so good. Keep coming back. It works!

Ok, I have wellbutrin running through my veins and a patch on my arm! Oh and I am chomping like crazy on some gum!
It has been a few months since I came back after 4 years off, however there has and will continue to be many stressors to trigger me. What motivated me originally was at almost 45 I am starting to notice a decline in my health. I am an active person and want to continue to be.
The final straw was getting bronchitis back to back. I had barely got over the 1st bout when I got it again. My body can no longer handle smoking, And something has to give.
