A few years back I had the exact same problem with the same movie. Also my bestfriend told me that when she was younger she had a horrible fear of that as well.It would stay with me and it scared me so much. I have learned the best thing is to thing of it as unreal. Its a movie with actors with makeup. You almost gotta laugh it off. Believe I know its hard to deal with but it will pass. Think of this way the odds of that happening is like California having a snow storm in July. I hope you feel better.

Press, Welcome to The Panic Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding panic and anxiety. Have you made an appointment to see a doctor? In the meantime please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This will better assess your situation. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. No horror books in my house :p lol. Try and relax your body do some deep breathing. If this doesn't help put on the TV, make sure you have the volume down so your not disturbing the rest of the household lol. Don't watch any horror movies. You might find your body might relax after a while and you eventually just nod off on the couch. Ruby...

A SHOT OF WISKY! LOL I think the suggestions we gave you are pretty good, try them, try all of them and see what happens. If none of that works go to your doctor and see what he/see suggests! She may give you a sleep aid. You will be fine!

Hi pressfreak, I hate scary movies too. Have you got any relaxation music to listen to. I find this helps me and puts me to sleep. Also you can try a nice warm bath. Another one is have a warm cup of milk. Ruby..... :p
