Hey Jules!!!

I'm so glad to hear that you think you have "got it"!!!  The concern I have is that further along in your post, you contradict yourself and by doing so, you leaving yourself an "out"! (Just my opinion)   If you really "get it", how about truly committing and change that statement in your brain to "I am 100% POSITIVE that I will never go back to smoking!!!"

If you mentally don't keep 100% commitment to the quit and give 1% of a chance of failure to the nico-demon, trouble may be lurking in your future!  Does that make sense to you???  It's gotta be NOPE!!!

Keep kicking ash, Jules!!!!  You're doing great!!!

Good for you Jules!!  You should be very proud of where you are and what you have done ..........  You're a non-smoker now.  Maybe you'll find something else to replace the juju stix.  I used tootsie pops for a while, readily available.
Stay Strong

I finally got it, what Allen Carr means when he says, that the thing a person does when quitting smoking is they are waiting for "something" to happen, or a feeling that is a confirmation that you are a nonsmoker, but that somehing isn't going to happen.....when you don't smoke your a nonsmoker. Simple, I never was one to be able to learn something simple without a whole lot of effort, if its simple its perplexing to me. If its complex then hey I get it,,,,,maybe I am just weird....well anyway,,,,,I havn't bought a pack of ciggerettes since Cinco De Mayo, had a couple (okay a few) slips,,,,my quit meter says I have saved 4 days of my life,,,,,which is a good thing, considering what is going on with American health care issues right now,  but what is so important to me is that I can sing agian.....I don't sing here in my apartment because the apartments are so close to each other, but when I get in my car, holy cow I rock....I forgot that I ever knew how to sing......I am still chewing JuJu styxs but unfortuately the company is going out of business so its going to be hard to order them in the future, so I orded 12 containers,,,,,you can get them at Quitsmoking. com  ( Isn';t that something an addict would do? going overboard?) But I hope no one will buy any so I can order them agian in the furture.  I don't think I could have stopped smoking if I hadn't discovered this product.....when I have a trigger I chew a juju styx. So I was really bummed out they are going out of business....I wish they could find a finacial backer to finace their company so they don't have to go out of business,,,I would be a lifetime customer. Oh well........... I am doing embrodery, crocheting and painting to stay busy, reading good books while on vactation. And enjoying playing with my cats, who appreciate that I am not smoking anymore.
There is no "feeling" , but there is a sense of achomplishment, I wish for everyone to have that experence, of realizing that they have succeeded in what ever way is working for them. For me it took, hypnosis, the nicotine gum, the patch, and juju stxs,,,,, its still a little hard to be around smokers somewhat, but mostly I feel sorry for them..... what I am saying is it took alot for me to quit, that I still have my struggles, that is was a lifetime of behavior that I had to learn how to change, I am pretty much 99% sure that I am not going to go back to smoking.........I refuse to pay for them. The price of ciggerettes has become ridicioulus.........and frankly I am having fun buying other stuff. There is no magic pill to quitting....its a process that one has to go through in their own individual way. This website has been helpful, as a place to watch my progress with my quit meter, and to read what others have to say,,,,,,,,,,I think nicotine is the most addictive substance, and I never would have believed that I could "break" the habit. But I am doing it,,,,!!!!!!!!!!! and thats exciting.  Jules
