**SIGH**...its time for me to come on over

Hi Josie, Marie, and HennyPenny!  Yes, its time for me to make a start.  I find myself making excuses, just like I did before I stopped smoking.  I joined the healthyweightcenter.net and plan to use this Weight Gain forum.  I did try Jenny Craig but found it was just too soon after I had quit smoking.  I've decided to go with Weight Watchers, I'm going to try the core program.  There are loads of good recipes on the internet.  Wish me luck and good luck to all the ex smokers who are trying to shed a few pounds as well!!!!!

Cheers,

Jan

Hi Jan!!
True confessions..... I'm right behind you on the diet thing!!!
I've gained xxxxlbs since I quit (too embarrassed to say exact number).
By the time I got to 100 days... I was a beached whale LOL  (Insert smiley face whale)

A lot of the money I saved on cigarettes went to buy new clothes. (Insert sad smiley face).

So today I am starting my diet. Want a diet buddy?  Would anyone else like to join us?

I'm going back to my good old South Beach Diet for now as most of this bloat from all the
bad, empty calories I've been eating. I do love sweets. :(
I don't know how to cope without my red licorice... quit smoking device. I should have just used a
straw like everybody else. booo hooo.

I'm also going to start back walking, which I was doing at the beginning of my quit but then self destructed.
I'll get back to the healthy thing now that I am out of the doldrums!

Good luck to you!!! Hope you achieve your goal!  (insert nice big smiley face!)

Hey Jan, I did it with WW the Flex program lost 18 pounds.  Good luck it's doable, easier than quitting smoking for sure.

Jan,

Check out our sister site HealthyWeightCenter.net , lots of great tips, tools, recipes and much more to choose form.  The best part is that they have a support group for added support!

Give it a try and remember, one day at a time!

There's no doubt, I have some weight to lose!!!!!  It time to say goodbye to some of the "tastier" and perhaps not so healthy snacks I've been enjoying.  Especially with the sweet tooth I acquired AFTER I stopped smoking.  And the lowfat popcorn WITH that added butter.  Yum!!!!!! (slap, slap!!!!! get my head out of that buttery popcorn bowl).  There's lots of good lowfat recipes and diets out there.  Time to belly up to the juice bar and get the job done.  ONE DAY AT A TIME - NOW THERE'S THE RIGHT IDEA.

Cheers,

Jan
