Welcome Tim!  I don't have a lot of advice because I am almost as new as you are.  I can tell you that if you work through the program, and are determined to quit, then you will.  The people here are incredibly supportive and have pulled me through some really rough patches so make sure you post as you go along.  I'm so glad you've decided to quit.  It is a life changing decision.  Are you going to do it cold turkey?  Or use a NRT?

Hello Tim!
We are so happy you decided to join us and even happier that you decided to put down the cigarettes.

There are a lot of good posts about starting a quit so be sure to read within the forums.  There is so much info!
Prepare to quit by working the SSC program.  Plan lots of rewards - that helps to get through the craves and rewires your brain.  You are going to see a lot of tips here so be sure to read, post and ask any questions you might have.

Stay close and keep us posted on how you are feeling.

And most of all.... Welcome!

Hello My name is Tim.  I am from Indiana and I am here to finally kick the ol habit.  I have been a smoker for 18 years.  I have been sent here by a good friend who has recently used this program to his success of quiting.  I know I will  have a lot of people rooting for me and backing me all the to quiting.  I have set my quit date for Sept 7.
