Why thank you, kind sir. I just believe I will.
I am very proud of my quit. It's one of the best things I've ever done for myself and lifted my self esteem hugely.

That 130 is looking mighty good on you too, Patrick. Now YOU take a bow.
Hang in there no matter what. It's hard work but oh the benefits!
I know Ms Lizzie can say the same thing.

Oh and I see you've discovered ice water. Good man. It was my best friend during my journey.

Melanie

Sorry Lizzie......I'm late! I've been away and then couldn't get logged on.

Congratulations on your fantastic quit! When I first joined this site, you were one of the people whose posts I read and read and read. You always knew the right thing to say, and were always ready to jump in and help. That is still true today.

You are an absolute star. Thank you

Rachel

Lizzie,  I'm so glad you went on a well deserved shopping trip!!!!  Your quit has been a wonderful journey.  Not just for you...but for us...watching and learning.  Our beagles, affectionately called "the girls", just love my new smoke free lifestyle.  I always smoked outside, but I'm sure, bless their wee sensitive noses, that they could smell the pong of stale smoke as soon as I walked in the door.  Not smoking is a win win situation for everybody!!!!

Cheers,

Jan

WOW! Lizzie, 5 years is just so coooooool :) Your advice meant so much to me in my earlier days when quitting was the scariest prospect I could imagine. You've been a stalwart asset for those 5 years and a model to many. Thanks for all the great messages! I still think the "biggest" milestone is around 100 days, followed closely by 6 months. These are the hard milestones that you really have to earn. You kind of stop counting after a couple of years, but somehow 5 years has a ring to it. You too are all on your way to great quits....just keep going!
