Hey Renee During the first week or two of my quit i had to stay away from things that triggered me. Morning coffee could not be drank until i was at work where i could not smoke. Could only go on the computer at home for about ten minutes and it had to be only to this site. There was quite a few things i had to temporarily give up until i got more comfortable with my quit. Hi Renee, You may want to try sitting in a different spot from where you usually sit and watch TV. Could you sit on the floor and do a little stretching exercises while you watch? Walk in place ? Also, do you have anything that will keep your hands busy like sewing or knitting? Another good thing about warm weather is having peas and beans to shell ;) that's always a good activity to do while watching TV! Renee, We all have triggers such as the one you described, you're not alone. Many have found it helpful to either a) avoid the trigger until your more comfortable in your quit and find something else to do b) change the way you do it, in this instance how you watch TV. Hope this helps. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator
