Hello Kistilu Perseverance is what you need to focus on today. One day at a time, steady as you go set yourself up to be strong and stubborn for the next little bit. PS stay away form the coffee it can draw you back in faster than you think. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 412 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,300 Amount Saved: $2,781.00 Life Gained: Days: 75 Hrs: 12 Mins: 45 Seconds: 29

Hi Kristilu! That demon was almost constantly on my mind the first couple of days and it was a helluva battle!!! During my breaks and down time at work and at home, I was constantly on this site reading through my milestones and reading posts just to keep my mind away from the demon!!! Everyone's support here was just what I needed to keep me strong during the battle!!! I know it will be a long battle, but I do see light at the end of the tunnel and my resolve is stronger!!! Just keep taking it one minute, one hour and one day at a time and keep the battle going until you are victorious!!! You can do it!! Kristilu, Hope your morning is better. Keep taking those deep breaths. The first few days are rough but you CAN do it!! Drink lots of water and try munching on Cheerios if you need something in your mouth. Hang in there. I am home, and although there were some tense moments at first I overcame. I threw myself into a hot bath and let the hubby set the boys straight this afternoon. Smooooooth sailing ..... right now. Keeping my guard up though, I know that b*tch junkie is hiding in the bushes! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 1 Mins: 38 Seconds: 43

You are probably home now, but I want to tell you what a fantastic job you have done by coming here and asking for help. You may not know it, but this struggle will only make you stronger when this sort of thing happens again. You will be able to look back and say, I did this before, I can and will do it again. Use deep breathing, mints, gum, water, ice chips, food, straws, stir sticks, or a friend of mine used unpainted golf tees...and then there's my favorite: GO SHOPPING! The malls are all non smoking now, and you can get anything from a latte to a full outfit, and feel good about it because you are using your saved money Do let us know how you are doing! Good Kristilu, I was the same way, it was easier at home, until I got home than I thought it was easier at work. Just put your self talk to work: I am a non smoker, I am smoke free! It feels so great to breathe freely. I am getting better and better every day! Smoking is not an option so I will do something else! Stand up to that miserable junkie! you are the one in charge, it's your life and your lungs and the junkie can go to he!!. I am pulling for you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 371 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,275 Amount Saved: $3,914.05 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 17 Mins: 55 Seconds: 18

I'm still hanging in! I am smacking away on some chewing gum and took a time out to play solitaire on the computer since i didn't bring a book today. I have taken several deep breaths and I am feeling a little better. Just waiting on 5 o'clock now, feel like if I can just get home I'll be okay today!
