it's a medication change, my meds start to fail to work every time I quit smoking, this time it just happened again when i quit nrt.so although i've been really suffering (and almost lost my career) over the old meds there's still a chance that the new ones will either fail to prevent mania/lability or will have equally aversive side effects, brain damage risks etc. So the next 5 weeks are hairy for me while my brain frantically seeks a new homeostasis -equilibrium. Also the way life has panned out the last few days I've been around smokers for the first time this quit and it's been very tough
plus my daughter and i have fallen out

eillis,
What is causing this? Can you pinpoint it? Can you change the situation or leave?
Hold strong and find some coping mechanisms :)
