Hi All, I`m Jack and I`ve decided to quit on March 1st 2008. I`ve set this date for a few reasons, one, my Gran was born on this day and two, it`s easier to count how many days I`ve done come the middle of the month. I have quit numerous times before with some success, but never eventually completing the task of total closure. Does anyone get total closure? Probably not. I suppose after a long time smoking,(33 years), then the craving, I suppose, never really goes away. Anyway, I`m Jack from the Uk. I have 4 kids and a Grandson. My kids aged 12-20 and my Grandson is one. Life is very hectic for me. I have my own business which, to be honest, is doing very well and I`m looking to expand. That is one of the main reasons to quit. Im expanding my business, then hopefully, can retire early. I then want to enjoy life. With no pressure on smoking. My grandson is reason 2. The last quits Ive always wondered when, not if, I`m gonna have my next smoke. That was my problem. I was never convinced I was gonna quit, totally. I suppose all the other bits of quits I`ve done, leading up to the last quit, and subsequently today, leading up to March 1st, I now feel in the right frame of mind to really push on and beat this habit. I must log on here daily and complete all the tasks here and reply, talk, type, whatever it takes really. This is where I feel all you quitters on here will help me and therefore, i`ll then go on to help new quitters. Ok, I`ll stop mumbling on now, thanks for reading my plight and hopefully you can all give me direction in emy life to come. Jack!!
