Sorry about your father's emphysema, Kristilou... I think I stopped just in time to avoid the worst of it - at least for a few more years (I hope I'm just a bit more wheezy than I am now when I walk the plank!) Glad to see it really hit home with you just how terrible and life-destroying tobacco really is... Day 2, morning was ridden with anxiety, but leveled off after lunch and it has been smooth sailing ever since. The patch is working miracles for me. Although I think in a couple of days I might be okay without it, I'm going to go thru the whole 3 step program just to make sure! And of course, finding out my dad has emphysema today, has poured concrete all over my quit. Color me smokeless!! GREAT JOB, Kristilu! One of my favorite treats that I kept on hand at all times was Chocolate Covered Altoid mints. I had one after EVERY meal for quite some time. WooHoo Kristilu! You kicked that junkie's ash! Each time that you pass a trigger, you will get stronger! And each week it gets easier. You can do and will do this! Carry an extra stash of something in your purse, like starws or gum, for days when you forget or the boys are extra rambunkious, and you will be always prepared! You go girl! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 343 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,575 Amount Saved: $3,618.65 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 2 Mins: 23 Seconds: 2
