My heart goes out to you Den, as I am having exactly the same problem. Talk about bloating. Shirt buttons won't fasten, trousers won't fasten even my mouth won't fasten long enough to stop me from eating. The horrible fact of the matter is that I am neither snacking nor eating more than I would usually. Also I am exercising, something I had not done for some time and still I am gaining weight. Horror of Horrors I still have the 15 kgs I gained during my last quit. I admire your courage to start doing something about your weight so early in your quit So the best of luck to you. I'm right with you on the milestone. hey Den, I hear ya. We started walking daily during lunch, 3 times around the building is a mile and a half, we do it everyday. I worked out 3-4 times per week during my quit until I pulled a muscle with my weights, perhaps if you can add some exercise you will feel better. They say that vitamin D works wonders, hence my choice to walk. feel better, xo Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 277 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,770 Amount Saved: $484.75 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 1 Mins: 38 Seconds: 7

Thanks for all the support!! It really does help me. Today is day 29. Almost one month. Have gained 8 pounds - grrrrr!!!!! went back to the gym tonight and am on a strict 3 day starter diet. Hopefully i can keep up with all the above. Feeling down about the weight gain, actually not so much down - plain out crabby. Den Good for you, you seem to have reached that point in the road where you can now make a clear decision to either smoke or not. That was a clearly defined period of time for me. When the obsession becomes a choice, you know you're beginning to have dominance over the addiction... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 404 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,120 Amount Saved: $4,242.00 Life Gained: Days: 75 Hrs: 8 Mins: 13 Seconds: 42

Thanks so much for all your wonderful messages! Today is day 25. Today there was 3 different times when i wanted a cigarette. No craving. Just wanted to have a cigarette. No stress, no anger..nothing. Just wanted a cigarette. I didn't have one, and it wasn't powerful or anything, it was a thought and a feeling. I didn't act on it. I just thought it would be nice to have one. That's where i am at, here at day 25.
