I respectfully disagree, Tom. If you feel your quit could be endangered, then you don't need to be buy cigarettes for another person. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Doodles, I don't understand. Did he ask you to get smokes for him or you? My wife told me she would never buy them for me when she quit but did when I asked her to (I rarely did). You do things for the ones you love. You know what they say, love transends... Doodles, I can't really add any suggestions to what Rusty and Danielle said, but I hope you can continue to keep focusing on the idea that this is YOUR quit, and it doesn't matter what anyone else does, you have shown yourself that you are a nonsmoker now. We're here for you any time you need to b#@ch, mutter, or scream about anyone else's behavior, tho ;p And, please, if you pick up a frying pan, Think Before You Swing. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 276 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,040 Amount Saved: $1,876.80 Life Gained: Days: 38 Hrs: 12 Mins: 18 Seconds: 32

doodles, take it from me...there is nothing you can do to stop your husband from smoking. BUT, that doesn't mean you are helpless. You can: 1. Politely refuse to buy cigarettes for him. "I'm sorry, honey...I'm just too new in my quit to risk that...maybe next Christmas." 2. Make up your mind that you will not let any person or situation come between you and your quit. 3. Buy something fabulous to celebrate your 120 days and make sure he knows that's what you're doing. How about prime rib? :eg: 4. Tell him that you love him, but since he's been gone a few things have changed...like where he smokes. I'm sure there are other things you can do. But most important, do NOT give up your quit, just because of someone else. And, don't give up your pride and happiness that you've quit...Celebrate! I just have to say........ MY HUSBAND ASK ME TO PICK UP CIGS FOR HIM THIS AM!!!!!! He has lost him mind completely!!! Pray for me, he has been out of town working for most of my quit. This "right of passage" to get through this wonderful holiday smoke free is a little harder than I thought!!
