I slipped. I did.

No, no, Rob47, not multipl slips at all. Just the one slip, one cigarette, the thread just gets bumped every once in awhile. My commitment is strong, my quit is strong and I am still very positive about the whole experience. Thanks, though, for your concern & the tough love. Unhooked- multiple "slips" now, despite being a hall of famer and one of the standard-bearers here for the "positive" thinkers, makes this thread seem a bit odd. Don't get me wrong, I get it; but then I'll never be known as the person to say quitting is easy. After almost 2 years, I could start up just like that. Of course, I have to be careful saying that as that sort of statement isn't "positive" and could potentially scare the newbies. However, this thread should scare the newbies, in and of itself, into realizing that words mean little without commitment and action. Please get it together, unhooked. You're on you way to being a full fledged smoker again with these "slips" here and there. They aren't innocuous little things. Yes, people can bounce back and I'm not here to tell you what to do or judge you or whatever.....but I sure hope you commit this time. Sometimes, things are just hard to do. :| My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 719 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 28,760 Amount Saved: $6,471.00 Life Gained: Days: 115 Hrs: 12 Mins: 41 Seconds: 46

I'm here, Jacqui. I don't come here as often & sometimes I lurk & don't post. I'm a little pre-occupied with life, but it's all good. Not to worry. Thanks for thinking of me. Hey Unhooked, I was just reading through old posts, saw where you had slipped, put it behind and life does go on as you will! and it will be great! Boy isn't this a hard journey, if I didn't have my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 18 mo. old grandaughter I probably would have gone back to smoking many times, they are what keep me going, at first it was me, support from them of course, but now it is I know I would dissapoint them so very much and of course me, but it just seems much harder as time goes on, my mother said it was like that for her but then one day doesn't remember when it was easy again. oh come on that day. If I could stay happy all the time wouldn't have a problem but of course that never happens, 24/7 yeah right! lol Well I am leaving for my parent's again Sun. we are moving them to Knoxville, TN. to live with my brother and his wife, are so hoping all will be so much better over there. I will be gone about a mo. I then shall return back here. many hugs, prayers, pixie dust, Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 301 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,030 Amount Saved: $752.50 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 0 Mins: 42 Seconds: 34
