Hi Kev, Do hope you are feeling better after being so horribly sick! At least you are considering getting out and about. Why don't you start this weekend by completing the Weekend promise in the Stats Parade section? That is kind of like a commitment to succeed this weekend when you start to go JFDIing all over town. ;p Lizzie :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/23/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1675 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25,125 Amount Saved: 6,281.25 Life Gained: Days: 167 Hrs: 13 Mins: 19 Seconds: 57

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Morning All, Day 134, despite a continuing near-overwhelming desire to smoke I am STILL smokefree. I keep well within my mind that the longer I go the more chance I have that I will remain smokefree (the Lizzie numbers). A large part of this is due to not being trusted to spend time out on my own without an overseer. Also the latter part (last week or so) is because I have have not been able to travel too far away from the lavatory as discussed in the last post. This weekend, I should, if I feel better (thats a big if), be shopping for christmas presents. Which for obvious reasons means that I will not be having an overseer. Given that I now subscribe to a 'Just do It (JFDI)' approach I for once shall not be cowering away from this opportunity to live and enjoy this christmas thing. Actually I enjoy looking at the lights and having a festive drink. JFDI is all about living life after all. Its a bit like leaving a chocoholic at a chocolate convention, or a nimpho at Hugh Hefners house, there will be tons of temptation. Either way I will let you know the outcome. I can still take precautions though and the sensible part of me will be doing that. Things such as making lists beforehand, not to get too fustrated or psycho over angry shoppers pushing people etc. Sitting in a dingy pub by a fire watching people come in from the cold whilst smoking on my 45th cigarette has always been my favourite christmas thing. It feels so festive. It could be a strange new experience for me. Anyway enough from me for now. Have a good one. Morning All, If I have kept track of time then today is the day for a new JDK thread. Which means the other can be closed/locked if required. Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, as some may know I have been in quaruntine. Hopefully today will be the first day that I get up out of my room and test the waters (so to speak). One thing about being very unwell is that you lack total energy to buy cigarettes. :) More to come later probably ...
