Thank you Trac You are not intuding at all, I am greatfull that you posted, the more people that feel what I have been feeling makes me feel less alone with all of this. I guess it's possible Im having a reaction to the Zoloft, I was on Paxil and Prozac in the past and didn't have a problem except Paxil gave me hives and so is the Zoloft. My one eye seems swollen in the morning but then that goes away. I am also taking Xanax and a side effect listed is Headaches, what sort of headaches I don't know? Thank you for trying to ease my fears Cassie

Cassie, I am new here to the forum but not to panic and agorapobia. I wanted to let you know I just got off my Zoloft yesterday due to the same symptoms you are talking about. I had severe back pain that I had never had, my eyes swelled shut and had horrible headaches. But my doctor said they wouldnt hurt me so try not to worry but it sounds just like the symptoms I was haveing on the Zoloft. I hope I helped calm your fears even a little, I sure know what it feels like to have the fear all the time and its unrelenting. Sorry if I intruded being new and all but I hope that helps your fear a little. PS I also had a brain MRI convinced I had a tumor or something all came back normal and just a bit piece of advice of the former advice you got from the RN high blood presure is going to be your first symptom most of the time if there is a life threatening problem Hope your day is good Trac

Thank you but he will NOT leave me the phone, he thinks Im rediculous and doesnt understand why I think the worst all the time. I have a Doctors appt on the 2 of next month but its such a long time from now. I obsess about my health and right now Im convinced that I have a brain Tumor or anurysm, this is terible. I wake up in the morning and think " IS THE HEADACHE THERE, AM I SEEING STARS, DO I HAVE FACIAL NUMBNESS?" NO, No, I don't feel anything so i get out of bed to start my day and then.. OH! WELL HELLO HEADACHE, GOOD DAY TO YOU STARS, IM HAPPY YOU COULD JOIN ME YET AGAIN FACIAL NUMBESS!!! As the day goes on I feel worse, not the pain but the anxiety and the obsessive thoughts. The pain is not bad, I have suffered more pain then this when I had my migrains, so bad they made me throw-up. This just seems to be so cronic, some days I don't really feel anything and then other days its always there on and off. I take Ibuprophin and it help but 4 hours later its all back. I know I need to talk to my doctor but Im sort of in a situation thats out of my control, my hubby has all the control and he refuses to acknowlage my problems. Cassie

Hi Cassie, As Josie already suggested, please be sure to contact your doctor. You may have to ask your husband for the cell phone. This is the only way you will get some answers or reassurance for how you have been feeling and to find out what can be done about it. The twinges started about 2 weeks ago, after I started taking Zoloft, the burning sensation in the back of my head has been over the last two days. I keep thinking it's muscle tension for my upper shoulders are sort of hard and tense. All of this comes and goes, it's not constent, if I take some Ibuprophin is seems to help the pain. When I start feeling all this I get really worked up thinking its something awfull. Im living in the country and Im out of work right now, hubby takes the car and I don't have a phone. We just built our home and don't have a land line in yet. We do have a cell but he never lets me have it. Im really scared that this is something bad and I can't get help for it, its making everything seem worse.

Cassie, Contact your doctor. When did these symptoms start occuring again? Could it be a reaction to the Zoloft? Talk to your pharmacist, they may be able to help. Please let us know what happens. Try and relax in the meantime and do anything to take your mind off of it. Get in touch with your doctor, so he/she can take more tests. Once you know what is happening, then you can begin to relax. I am really scared, I have been having this headache on and off all month long. I am convinced I have a brain tumor/stroke/anurysm. When I was a little girl I remember sitting on my moms couch when she called to me, I turned my head fast and got this horrible pain shoot up the back of my head followed by intence burning sensations and tingles, I would feel lightheaded and started freaking out. My mom said it was just a nerve in the back of the head and neck that got pinched and thats all. She also has this happen to her. All my life on occasion this happens to me, I turn my head and it happens.. allot of people don't know what Im talking about. Well for the past two weeks I have been gettin sharp twinges of pain in my temple, ear arrea and back of head, I keep getting that same sensation of that nerve getting pinched but not sever enough to cause horrible pain. The back of me head burns and sometimes I feel twinges behind eye and above. The back of my neck feels stiff and is sore to the touch, feels like my hair is sore. This lady scared me so bad said she had 2 friends die of an anurysm and that my pain sounded like that. I totaly had a panick attack after she said that to me, the scary thing is she was a RN. So I took her words seriously. So with all of this, the visual disturbances and facial numbness Im convinced Im going to die or I will die soon. Im so freaked out! I can't stop thinking and obsessing about whats wrong with me. I started Zoloft 25mg 17 days ago and its not helping, I forgot to tell my doctor about the visual disturbances and facial numbness and tingles so Im also obsessed with that. I can't stand living like this anymore, I don't know what to do.
