Sorry, it's "quitting smoking is easy", located in the Avoid slipping and relapse forum. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 92 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,760 Amount Saved: $538.20 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 6 Mins: 33 Seconds: 22

It is really hard, Terri...and it is really worth it. There is a thread I'll try to find for you. I think it's titled "quitting smoking is easier than...". Like Lainey said, your attitude toward it will make all the difference. You're doing great. Keep it up and if it gets to hard please post here for help and wait for five replies before you decide whether to light up or not, k? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 92 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,760 Amount Saved: $538.20 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 6 Mins: 32 Seconds: 56

You can do this Terri! Just focus on being smoke free! ("Smoking is not an option, because I do not smoke") You're a non smoker now, so stay that way. It's only hard if you say its hard - tell yourself its easy, and it will be easier! Work will help keep you busy and keep your mind off smoking, just plan ahead to do seomthing when you would normally have a break. Go for a walk, go for a drink of cold water, go chat with a non smoking coworker! You can do it! :) You are doing it! It is perfectly normal, Terri, and you will very likely be bubble brained for a few days, yet. The first week is the hardest and the first 3 days are the hardest of that. Know that it gets better, keep your reasons for quitting top of mind and use all your coping strategies. You can do it and it is so worth it. Quit day for me and I had no idea how hard this was going to be. I am thinking cigarette all the time. I seem to be having this ongoing battle in my mind about smoking. So far, I'm winning, but is this normal? I never thought about smoking like this when I was and now it is all I can think about. I'm a little concerned about working tomorrow - I can't afford to be all bubble brained.
