Hey Doodles, A good cry never hurt anyone, its free and sometimes a great relief to let those emotions go! Life sucks pretty good some days, and if one door is closing perhaps another will open soon. Tomorrow will be better. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 223 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,575 Amount Saved: $2,352.65 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 7 Mins: 51 Seconds: 8

Doodles, I hope you are feeling better. Life is unfair sometimes and I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. You already know smoking isn't going to help so how about you work on figuring out what will. Please try to keep in mind that what seems like the end of the world today may end up being the beginning of a brighter tomorrow. Let us know how you are doing, k? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 50 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,500 Amount Saved: $292.50 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 56 Seconds: 17

Doodles, I'm so sorry you and your husband are going through this hard time. You will be in my thoughts and my heart and I hope for the best possible outcome for you. It's wonderful that you came here to post & didn't smoke, doodles, really wonderful. It shows that you really don't want to smoke & that's a big part of keeping your quit! Keep your chin up, try to focus on the positive, (like your great quit), & use all your coping strategies. You can get through this a non-smoker, doodles, & think how proud of yourself you will be and how strong you will feel. HeyDoodles, that really sucks. You have got advice from your buds here and hope you use it. Another thing if everyone put their prolems out on the clothesline to dry they would bring their own in. Just driving down the street and seeing a ton of flowers and teddy bears at a power pole I looked at the metro section of the paper and read of the 18 yr. old girl who was killed this weekend. whoa, and I'm complaining I wish I could smoke and eat a lot. Life often trows bad things at us. If you want to sit down and cry about it go ahead. Just set your timer for 5 minutes and then quit. At least you have a husband that's more than a lot of us have. And he's in good health. Another goodie. Count your blessings and be strong. You know if you smoke you'll feel worse and those darn things are expensive. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 576 Amount Saved: $144.00 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 14 Mins: 42 Seconds: 56

I am so sorry that you are going through a difficult time right now. This will be a very tough time for you and your hubby. In some ways I think that quitting smoking has helped me to deal with stress better. Now when I get hit with stress, I work at just getting through that day. Instead of chain-smoking, I hit the gym (or go for a walk) and burn that stress off. For me, when bad times hit, I used to dwell on every negative possibility and worry myself to death. Now, I know that I just have to make it through the day. Quitting smoking has also helped me to realize that I am much stronger than I thought I was. You have 50 awesome days! Be a stressed out non-smoker and we will promise to keep you in our prayers. Take care Windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 398 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,960 Amount Saved: $1,990.00 Life Gained: Days: 38 Hrs: 20 Mins: 21 Seconds: 24

Doodles, I am so sorry. Life happens to us whether or not we smoke, good stuff as well as bad stuff. I understand what you must be feeling right now and I will keep you and your husband in my highest thoughts. But you know there is one thing you can feel really, really good about: 50 days, 1,000 cigarettes not smoked, $150 not spent on cigarettes, and five days gained. Give yourself a great big hug, doodles! Doodles, Sorry to hear about your husbands misfortune, How ever smoking will not get his job back and will only cost more money in the long run. Chocolate is cheaper, more fun and better for you. Try chocolate it will make you feel better.
