Hi alohakeia! Yeah, thats what I'm currently doing....taking the money NOT spent on smokes and putting it in a tin to save for the Chantix. I don't mind the cost since it's going to be saving me so much in the long run! LOL! Thanks for the message!

Danno If you take how much you were spending per day on cigarettes, I bet you would have enough for the first month of chantix in about a week to 10 days. When I was paying for chantix ($115 first month, $148 second 2 months), I was pissed, but kept reminding myself that I would be spending that much on cigs, and that a day would come when I wasn't spending any of it on either cigs or chantix. That day has come, and not only am I saving money, my body is happier : ) Glad you got the Allen Carr book. I'll be interested to hear what you think about it. Hello Smokiejoe...and everyone! Thank you for the message! Hope all are well today? I had a bad night last night, and of course smoked more than I wanted, so blew my average for the day. Felt like ka-ka this morning too! LOL! That will learn me darn-it! I've been hearing rave reviews for Chantix. I'm putting money back everyday to eventually get some. Sounds like it's really working for you huh? Congrats on doing SOOO well! I'll soon be there with you! Thanks again for all the messages and support gang. They are all greatly appreciated. Dan

Hey Danno I hear you. I have been a smoker for over 40 years, 2-3 packs a day. Yesterday I had ONE cigarette. That's right ONE! I am using Chantix, my wife started first. She's mostly smoke free, when I like one, she want's a drag. I feel so bad that I don't smoke around her any more. I used the patch before, this chantix makes it easier. I haven't had the problems you've had. Except, my appetite had increased in the last few days. I am diabetic, so I have to be careful what I eat. This is tough, but with your family history, your going to have to work to beat the odds. This is a good place to start. We are all in this with you. Just believe you can do it. Good non-smoking. When is your doctor's appointment, Dan? Be sure to check in & let us know which method she suggested. There are all kinds of quitters here & we will all tell you it doesn't matter HOW you do it, it only matters THAT you do it! Looking forward to seeing your quit date soon! Hello gang! Sorry for the delay in my response, but I was called away on a computer repair job. Thanks so much for the messages you guys. What a treat to sign in here and hear from so many people that are honestly concerned and encouraging! WOW! I love this site! LOL! Noticed that I had alot more energy today. Thats always a good thing! Now get this you guys...I was just asked, {by some people I have known forever,} what I was doing...was I working out or something....because I just looked "better!" When I got home I looked in the mirror and I actually DID notice the bags under my eyes are going away, and my skin looked healthier! I guess it's from not only the cig cut-down, but also the fresh fruit and water. I didn't realize that would be one of the benefits, but I'll sure take it! LOL! Hey, I may be a guy, but I like a compliment as well as anyone!
