thanks guys I think Sunday must just be tooooo laid back for me. I should spend the day at the movies or doing something / anything to distract me.. Monday is easy too... It's my day off and no children or hubby around. I love it... I can do anything I want between 8am and 2pm!!! I may have to exercise and sleep to get through it... Working helps keep me distracted.. No one there smokes! Just rambling.. need to just go to bed and not worry about what tomorrow will bring. Doodles, do what you've been doing for the last 4 weeks. If it got you this far, it will take you the rest of the way. The biggest thing is accepting that quitting is a process that takes ...quite a while. If you can make peace with that, live your life a day at a time... don't create false expectations or set conditions on what your willing to deal with ("I won't smoke unless...", "As long as the cravings are mostly gone at3, 3, 4, 5 months..."), insist on enjoying your life, and keep coming back here... you'll win this war. You'll have the life you want. The transition from smoker to non-smoker requires a change in the way you see yourself and the way you interact with life... and that simply takes time. Give yourself the time you need. We've all been where you are now. We know how tough it is at 4 weeks, and we know what it's like to wonder, "How much longer until I feel 'normal'? How much more do I have to go through before I don't have to face these cravings over and over again?" And the answer is... "as long as it takes". But for most of us... somewhere between 100 and 200 days... and we're really starting to feel very at home in our new non-smoking realities. But that's a general average. For some people it's longer, and for some people it takes less time than that. The key is to give it just as long as is required. All you can do is to live your life...free of cigs. In time that will seem natural. It's much more natural for me now, but there are still times when I'll get blind-sided by a craving. Tension may bring it on, or a surprise event that challenges me emotionally. But 98% of the time.. I feel great! :) That's about it from me. Good luck, and congratulations on getting this far. As I've said before, no one gets as far as you have by accident. Just keep doing what you're doing. Oh... and don't eat the kitchen sink. I really didn't mean that. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 194 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,850 Amount Saved: $1,794.50 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 7 Mins: 11 Seconds: 46

lol...well, that would keep doodles busy...and provide iron..iron is good Just keep doing what you've been doing, doodles..it seems to be working. AND! Try to notice and appreciate the bennies; the better breathing, the clean smell, the improved taste buds and smelling ability, ability to walk up stairs without panting...and the times you didn't think about smoking. It is so cool to realize; Hey! I haven't thought about smoking for hours! it just keeps getting better and better well, with a few episodes of actually feeling and dealing with your emotions without using a cigarette to ignore them ;p That may be coming up soon, but only if there are "things" going on in your life. Just enjoy that you are almost a month smoke free...it's a very very good thing I love that you are always looking to be prepared My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 178 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,120 Amount Saved: $1,210.40 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 22 Mins: 7 Seconds: 53
