Life is full of choices. Some choices are not good for us and then the others are. You have now made the choice to not smoke and that is good. So glad you have come back. Becareful, this could be the quit :eg: Now you know I want this for you and the others, right? You and I have been though this and we know what to do. DON'T SMOKE :gasp: Sounds simple, but then there are those days (sigh). I sure hope those days will be behind you soon. ((HUGS)) Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 720 Amount Saved: $216.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 18 Mins: 47 Seconds: 36

Hang in there Penguin! Don't waste precious time beating yourself up! Come on back and begin the journey again. None of us are perfect and we learn each and every day. Keep on trying to fly, Penguin! Been there, done that! So you're not alone. (Thats why my hubby says I have quit 703 times - he's probably out by a few hundred, my best guess would be in the forties) My Doctor once told me, "Just keep on quitting until you're quit!" He said even being on the patch forever is better than smoking. (Well, maybe not....) But you get the message! Glad you're here! We'll be here too! Welocme back! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,200 Amount Saved: $1,350.40 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 16 Mins: 43 Seconds: 52

The last "Rookery" was getting a little long, so I'm starting a new one to coincide with my new quit! Yep, that's right, I made a wrong choice, and it's back to the starting line again for me. I knew I was making the wrong choice as I made it, so why then did I choose to smoke? I know the answer, of course...I'm an nicotine addict. But why give up on my determination and my commitment? Where is my sense of accountability? I've been trying to answer these questions the last two weeks, trying to figure out why I made that choice. I have the desire, and I have mustered up the courage to start again, so how do I make it stick??? I read a post a long time ago that has been going through my mind over and over. Sorry, can't remember who wrote it, but it talked about the choice to not smoke being on a moral level. YOU DON'T SMOKE, just like I DON'T STEAL, and I DON'T DO COCAINE! (well now my secret is out) I made another poor choice and that was not to come to the SSC before I smoked. I should have asked for help! Practice what you preach, dummy! So my embarassed head is under my wing once again asking for support, but most of all I am asking for your guidance as I continue on this journey. Aerodynamically, a Penguin shouldn't be able to fly. Seems I don't know that because I keep on trying to.
