Well my journey has brought me to this remarkable place and so far has brought me so many wonderful new caring friends. It has brought back my faith in myself or self esteem that I lost somewhere in the smoke. It has brought me a new life in so many ways, a new breathe, and a new view of the world. And I have only just begun. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 151 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,775 Amount Saved: $1,593.05 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 10 Mins: 9 Seconds: 15

Kiwi, I am finally getting that! Unfortunately for me I'm still coming out of the abyss, but there is light now, and it is beautiful and clearing the darkness :) Joyful! You stick by God and his angels here! You are doing great and getting stronger by the minute (I'm watching over you) :) Unhooked, COOL! I'm following a program. I was actually surprised that today's routine came more easily than any prior. I must be getting stronger. Cool :8|: Let me check out that party now, I'm done with healthy stuff... The biggest and perhaps most rewarding part of my journey is a new found self belief. I have gained a new confidence to try new things and a reassurance that I can succeed. Apart from the obvious health and financial benefits this is the one that I treasure most. I am a new person and I like me. This journey and the journey before has brought some cool, wonderful & loving people into my life :) It's also brought me some self understanding, more faith in GOD, emotional growth & love for myself. I'm finally figuring out that I'm the only one who will take care of myself & my health. There are helpers that GOD's put into my life to help and of course GOD is ultimately in control. But if I don't care about & take care of myself then I can't blame anyone but myself. I am responsible for my actions and am as honest as I know how to be with GOD & myself. Tks Lady, gr8 thread as always!!!!!!! If not for your help I don't think I would have made it throught the past 5 days. I don't know what tonight or tomorrow holds but right now I'm smoke-free and very greatful for your help. I'm also very happy for you & so proud of U :) Just breathe....... Cigarettes Not Smoked

Running is a great idea, Audrey. I started in a previous quit & it's amazing how motivating it is to actually FEEL your lungs getting stronger every week, & your energy & stamina increase as well. It really is noticeable & it helps the quit because it's such tangible evidence of how much healthier you are. My 90 day reward is going to be a pair of good shoes (for my old knees) & I'm going to start again, too. I've been working up to it with 90 minute power walks every night. We can be running buddies, if you want! No Lady, thank you. And Unhooked you can't go anywhere either, nor you Danielle! Nonic suggested somewhere in one of his wonderful posts lately how helpful it is to take up something that you couldn't do as a smoker. He chose running (and weightlifting). I have been running and I am so proud of myself. Does wonders for confidence too. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 198 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,960 Amount Saved: $554.40 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 7 Mins: 37 Seconds: 36

Better smelling hair! Also, renewed confidence & faith in myself, a more positive outlook, all of you wonderful people, higher esteem in my kids' eyes, about 15 pounds (good with the bad), more energy, better sleep, I could go on. I love not smoking & I love life as a non-smoker.
