Good for you, Sam!! Sam, you've got a good approach to your quit. Keep doing what you're doing and I think you're going to be just fine. Just take it slow. I know I've already emphasised that, but it's worth repeating. Just put one foot in front of the other for a while and focus on what's in front of you. You're doing wonderfully!! I wrote this on another thread and copied and pasted it here.... I woke up this morning (with patch on from yesterday morning) with an incredible craving Patch had passed it's 24 hr mark and OMG what a rotten feeling ! Thank goodness I discarded ALL cig's, or else I would have lit up for sure. I immediately put on a fresh patch, ate my breakfast and did some deep breathing exercises. AND I let out some A A A A A's ! Making these primal sounds really helps me out a lot... Am very sure that my neighbours can hear me .. LOL ! Cravings have calmed down a lot and now going to get some light chores done. It isn't a good day for a walk - so hot and humid :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/23/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60 Amount Saved: $21.75 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 47 Seconds: 46

I didn't quit on the patch this time.....but I have used the patch before. I found the dreams FUN!! I say...quiting is hard....so grab what ever fun you can. Even if it is vivid dreams. Dreaming of "whatever" is better than thinking about smoking. It's actually a welcomed relief..isn't it? Mercy:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 155 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,100 Amount Saved: $692.85 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 10 Mins: 51 Seconds: 52

Good Monday morning Ex :) Well hon all went well last night ! WOO HOO ! No dreams, no sleep disturbances .. just a good sound, deep sleep ;) Even though I wore the patch to bed I did wake up 'thinking' about a cig, but I know that's perfectly normal. In time there will be a NEW 'normal' and I just have to wait for that time and be patient. Take it all one day at a time. How are you doing today Ex ? Hey Phil.. your avatar is very graphic ! Sends a clear message ! So you had bad nightmare's with the patch huh ? That is what I had feared, but I don't want to go through what I did yesterday morning in the wee hours - up at 2 a.m. climbing the walls with a horrible craving :( Btw, what the heck is a 'nozzly thing'? LOL! Into day 3 :p and time to slap on a new patch :) Have a super non smoking Monday ! When I saw Mister Ed's wonderful list of quitter's I had asked to be added to the list and apparently in the database there was already a 'Sam' so he is listing me as 'Sam2007' and I changed over. Actually I quite like the '2007' added on :) Just letting you know .. it's still me ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/23/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $7.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 56 Seconds: 28
