Thanks Penguin, Sparky and Rusty. I need to be here, posting often. I could never do this on my own. I'm glad I laid it out with myself, totally honest, totally committed, because, like you say Penguin, I no longer want to keep starting over. I am VERY happy to say that I am here, I am totally committed, and I am SMOKE FREE!!!!!. Thanks for hangin' in there with me, Cheers, Jan ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/10/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 1 Mins: 41 Seconds: 32

Oh, my dear friend I know exactly what you are going though. Have to admitt we have never every given up on our quits, have we? You (WE!!!) can do this. I tell myself every day "We can do this". You know the routine, lots of water, post often, deep breaths, and on and on and on. But those routines do work it you work them, got it? I am so glad you are back (((HUGS))) Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 410 Amount Saved: $123.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 14 Mins: 6 Seconds: 16

Jan Well honesty is exactly what it is all about. We have told ourselves lies for a very long time, and we can be very convincing sometimes. You already know the truth, Jan...you are a nicotine addict. Commitment is a big part of the process. You also have to constantly remind yourself of the truth, that smoking puts you right back to the beginning...to start again. I am just plain tired of starting again...and I know you are too. I am so proud that you are committed to yourself. This is all about YOU, and that should feel good. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi everyone. As many of you know I've been struggling with my quit for about six weeks now. I've had a good 2 weeks then had a "slip" yesterday. So I sat myself down and asked honestly, "What's going on?" I want to be smoke free more than anything. NO MORE SLIPS! So today with my patch on and still taking my Zyban, I have re-committed myself to my quit. For me that means plenty of cold water in the fridge, deep breathing, relaxation time, etc. I'm just on my way out with a shopping list of different things to help me. I know how easy it is to get down over a relapse, but I'm hoping I've learned from this, big time. I feel very grateful to have rallied back from this and not to have kept smoking. So, as I am committed to helping others, I am also committed to helping myself. Please bear with me, guys, as I try to be honest with myself and take this worthwhile journey "one crave at a time". Thanks in advance! Cheers, Jan :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/10/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 1 Mins: 29 Seconds: 8
