Hi Jason, hang in there! You've started and are on your way. Keep some distracting things close to hand and hang tuff! Hi Jason, I hate to sound like a broken record but do the program to the left. It really does make a difference if you have a plan. Know what will trigger you & avoid those situations. Deep cleansing breaths help ALOT. You have found the right people that will help you get through this. There is a lot to read here that you will find helpful. Turn on your quit meter so we can see how you are doing. You CAN do it :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 63 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,575 Amount Saved: $517.86 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 17 Mins: 55 Seconds: 37

Welcome, Jason Yes, the chantix helps, but it isn't enough. You have to have the determination to quit and have some coping strategies prepared, especially in the first withdrawal days. That's why the tools to the left are so helpful. Have you had a chance to look at that? Also, drink a lot of water, have something to chew on - a straw, a carrot stick, a sugar-free candy, etc. Breathe!!!!! Some people walk, dance, lift weights. Positive self-talk helps. Pamper yourself, watch a dvd, sleep. Read as much as you can here, and post if you feel like it. You can do this! -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 74 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,960 Amount Saved: $503.20 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 9 Mins: 44 Seconds: 11

Hi Jason, Welcome to the SSC. You have found the best place for help and support. I never thought I could quit and then I found this site plus Chantix and now I am almost at 100 days smoke-free. You can do it too. Try doing the program to the left, keep coming back here and reading and posting. You can do this!!!! Let us know if we can help. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,375 Amount Saved: $475.00 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 3 Mins: 6 Seconds: 15

First day without a cigarette. Currently using Chantix but it just wasn't enough so I had to use the Commit Lozenge as well. Ugh, this is tough and sickening at the same time.
