I sobbed my way through withdrawal. My keyboard was awash with tears. I slept and cried and slept and cried. When I wasn't doing that I ate or snapped at my husband.
Phew! I thought I was the only one ... I'll add to that list though: thinking of starting again to end all the turmoil. thank you all This crying is crazy, huh? I guess it is a combination of all of life, midlife, stopping smoking, kids leaving, feeling our emotions again after numbing them so long with nicotine. Oh, my last, I hope that you feel better today. Sing all you want, dance all you want. it does make us feel better. I am going to go to the gym today, I think. I know that exercising does help depression. I read an interesting article today about sleeping. For every hour that you go to bed before midnight, it is like giving your body two hours of rest.(so this naturopathic dr. says). He said that our bodies were meant to go to bed at sundown and rise at sunrise? Also, to sleep in complete darkness, if possible. it helps promote the production of seritonin (causes a feeling of wellbeing) and melatonin. (helps with sleep patterns). Which, in turn, helps with depression. Okay, all, over to the tree house. We can focus on the positive today. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 408 Amount Saved: $85.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 10 Mins: 14 Seconds: 43

Unhocked, I was just thinking that, I had a total melt down this morning. I have taken off the patch on Sunday and the craves are crazy. Crying with black masacra streaks running down my cheeks. Don't really want a smoke though just want to stop thinking about it. Thank god my sister called in the middle of it and calmed me down. Now I am ready to party. I am bringing some Vodka and chocolate and I think I am going to sing at the top of my sorry ass lungs and I can't carry a tune. So bring your earplugs! Almost through 72 hrs, tomorrow at about 10:00 am. I'll meet you in the treehoose and I maynot come back out till tomorrow at 10:00 am. Let's have some fun! OK, guys, it looks like a lot of people need some cheering up around here. Party in the treehouse, right now!!!! I've got Canadian beer as always & we're going to barbecue us a bigass prime rib of Alberta beef. We're going to dance and laugh (maybe cry a little), beat the snot out of the punching bag, swing for hours on the rope swing and love our smoke free selves!!! Get over there everybody because I can't have a party be myself My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 600 Amount Saved: $330.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 1 Mins: 5 Seconds: 43

Hey New Me! You sound very familiar to me girl! Let me know how the Vit B works for you and relax girl, its just the quitting. It is truly amazing how that drug upsets your whole body and its gonna take a little time to straighten it out! So hang in there! It won't be long and the joy will be back in your life, all around! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,475 Amount Saved: $1,044.45 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 2 Mins: 56 Seconds: 39

I am a woman. Guess I should fill out a profile because I will be sticking around for awhile. NewMe, I also have alot of that empty nest sadness, it's been a year since my youngest has left the house. I have been sorting through some of their old videos and it just breaks my heart to think of how fast it all went. Your email actually made me tear up. Maybe some of this is mid-life stuff also. Let us know how Vitamin B works.
