Hello fellow Ashkickers. I know I am late checking in tonight. I have had a really really bad afternoon and evening here at home and haven't had the chance to get here before now. Very long story and don't really feel up to going into it right now, easy enough to say that my family is possibly going to be changing. My boys may be moving to their dads. If you all want to details I will cover it when my head is more clear. I am still very upset and in tears, been that way since I got home today at about 4:00. Had such good plans for the evening.. and NONE of it happened. I am very upset and have to say my cravings have been awful. A few times I even thought, "what the heck, why not". I have been good though and made it through because soon after thinking that I would remind myself that it would not help or fix the situation. So, I am still smoke free but very sad..... Wish I could sound more positive tonight... and I will be more positve soon.. Just very sad... Talk to you all soon...... Good for you banana ! You are a shining example at your work and I bet that there at least a few who are jealous of how far you've come and that you're a winner ! And look at that people asking you about quitting.. how cool is that ? :) You might just end up being someone's mentor. So proud of you as you should be of yourself ! Plus on top of all that you've stepped down to the 14 mg patch.. it just keeps on getting better and better for you ..WOOO HOOO ! Lolo - many congratulations to you on your 3 weeks smoke free :) It feels great doesn't it ? Such a great accomplishment..keep going strong ! Phew.. so good to hear that you are feeling better Shakes :) Was quite worried about you. Food poisoning is horrible.. been there and ..well you already know what it's like. Sleep is what your body needed to recover from it. Those smoking dreams will pass. They are awful scary though :8o: And it's such a wonderful feeling to wake up and know they were just that - bad dreams ! Maybe you are catching a cold.. re the sore throat ? Your system was really put through the ringer so continue, when you can, to get a lot of much needed rest..k ? I'm really tired today. I think it's just a combination of some stress and the humidity in the air. Guess what ? I have now lost 8 lbs.. WOO HOO ! I started a serious diet and exercise (lots of walking) regiment about 3 weeks ago and I'm thrilled to have lost 8 of the 25 that I want to lose. I'm also going out on Thursday to check out a work out place just for women. It's reasonable $$$ wise and if they have the equipment I require then I'm signing up :) I had some moments today which were pretty heavy when it came to craves, but they are all totally related to my stress levels. As soon as I feel anxiety coming then a crave is right behind. But I just walk and talk it off and mash that nicodemon into the ground. Ok.. well I've talked my head off here huh..lol... Have a super evening all and don't forget the site is down tomorrow until 6 p.m. EST .. So let's all try and check in after dinner :p Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,043 Amount Saved: $420.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 16 [B

Awesome! Congrats Lolo! Thanks, Jean, Banana & Lou for your good thoughts. I am feeling better as far as the food poisoning's concerned. I slept a LOT. Just got up, in fact. :) And I had awful dreams of slipping, of smoking, of rationalizing. It really shook me up a bit. And the strangest thing: I woke up with a sore throat. What's up with that?? It's all good. I know I didn't smoke. But Jeez... Hope you're all well!! --Shakes My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 810 Amount Saved: $360 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 2 Mins: 47 Seconds: 35

Shakes, I hope you are feeling better. Food poisoning is NO fun. You wouldn't believe all the congratulations I got at work yesterday. Everyone was so excited that it's been 6 weeks for me. Some were shocked that I could do it too. Made me feel good & 2 other people asked for advice on quitting, so I have my fingers crossed that they are ready to take the step. SO COOL :) I feel exactly the same today wearing a 14 mg patch as I did on Sunday wearing a 21 mg patch.....surprisingly calm.....ohm, ohm LOL Have a great Tuesday you Ash Kickers :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,082 Amount Saved: $348.73 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 3 Seconds: 54

Oh Shakes I so hope you are feeling better today ! As they say "the show must go on" and that's exactly what you did.. wow you are one mighty Ashkicker ! You are a fighter that is for sure :) Lou.. you too not feeling well :( Well I sure hope that you're feeling better today too ! You both came through your illnesses without a hitch and not smoking. I found that when I got my cold a little while back I got some major craves but then I learned from several people here that if you had a tendancy to smoke more while sick it would then be a trigger and boy was it. Kudo's to you both for your strength and getting past it :) Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,031 Amount Saved: $420.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 15 Mins: 19 Seconds: 43

Sorry to hear you are under the weather Shakes. Haven't been feeling well myself today, but no where near as bad as you. I think my boyfriend and I ate something that didn't agree with us last night. Hope you get to feeling better real soon! Way to get some ash while sick... you are doing great!!! What's up, Y'all!? Boy have I been under the weather. I got food poisoning or something. So the last 36 hours have been H-E-DoubleHockeySticks! Plus, I've had to do my shows, which is pretty scary. I'd walk off-stage and double over in pain. But nobody in the audience had a clue; everything went fine. Considering! I think I'm on the mend, though, and ya know what? My first smoke-free sick...ness? I don't know what to call it. But hey, it's a first and I got through it w/out lighting up. Take that, Ash! So, now I get to curl up on the sofa and reward myself with a netflix. Hope everybody's doin' well and hangin' in there! --Shakes My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 39 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 798 Amount Saved: $351 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 0 Mins: 50 Seconds: 16
