Hiya Shakes ! 6 weeks :) Feels great doesn't it ! Well that particular gym looks good :) I'm going to check out a few other's before I commit to any one in particular. I weigh in every Friday, so I am hoping I lost another 2 lbs.. *crossing fingers...and toes* lol :p Today was a busy day and I'm really exhausted. I am not as tired as I used to be - started taking an herbal supplement and vitamin D so I think the combination of the two are helping greatly. Plus in the early stages of stopping smoking that seems to be when you feel the most tired. Lou when you have a chance let us know how you are doing today ok? Yes, Thursday is happy. And six weeks feels great! Banana, I've been having similar dreams. Are you on Chantix? Is that part of it, ya think? How's that gym, Jean? Still sending positive thoughts your way, Lou! --Shakes My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 42 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 840 Amount Saved: $378.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 7 Mins: 49 Seconds: 9

Happy Thursday to all Ashkicker's ! ! ! Well Lou as long as you're feeling somewhat better and you didn't cave into your craves due to your high stress levels that's what's important ;p I have found that going through my own personal stresses that when the anxieties start rising the more frequent the craves and what we have to do is stay as distracted as possible and they ALWAYS pass ! I know 1st hand how very difficult it is when going through a hard time and then your body/mind wants to respond to it the way it used to before we became non smokers. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT and then feeling absolutely exhausted. But Lou, you are absolutely right, you cannot control what other's think or feel. You have to go with it and always know what you are IN control of and right now protect that... YOUR NON SMOKING life ! Protect it with your life !!!! You have a great attitude Lou :) Lolo.. You are sounding wonderful and I just LOVE your attitude. Your posts always make me smile ! :p Sparky ! Look at you.. you look so sweet in that swimming pool ..LOL! You are doing great :) Banana - The vivid dreams are supposed to end.. Mine did :) They are super scary though :8o: Your stats are fantastic ! I am doing ok. I have to admit each day is a struggle on a personal level, but I'm getting through it and making sure that I keep busy and I also remember to take breaks, when possible, throughout my day to rest. Our bodies are healing and it's important to be gentle on ourselves .. pamper ourselves and reward ourselves as often as possible. Have a super day everyone ! Happy Thursday Ash Kickers :) Hey this place looks slightly different. Before, the older posts never showed up for me. I always got an error message where they should have been but now I can see them, which makes it so much easier to reply to people.....I'm hoping that I can use the IM on this site too. I never could before. Lou P, Big HUG for you. This is so stressful for you & if you need your fellow April Ash kickers, we are here for you. Smoking is all about control & you handled that stressful situation perfectly. I had a terrible dream that I gave up my quit & started smoking again. Why would I dream that? I am thrilled with my quit & I remember saying to myself in the dream that I wished this was just a smoking dream & that I am really still a quitter. I was very relieved when I woke up.....these dreams are soooo vivid & upsetting to me. Have a great day :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,125 Amount Saved: $364.95 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 19 Mins: 5 Seconds: 36

Hello everyone! Thank goodness the site is back, LOL!!! I missed it, I have a routine... Come home, say hello to everyone, get hugs and kisses, wash hands, turn on pc, sign in to SSC... Today was a little different.. LOL! Okay, my last post I wasn't doing so well emotionally. I am doing a little better this evening. I am still upset about my boys leaving, but I believe they will decide to come home when school starts back, I hope. Jean, when I have a little more time I will explain everything, right now still feeling foggy headed and tired physically and emotionally. I haven't felt well today (and last night). Getting that upset really takes a toll on you. And, I have had some major cravings. Yesterday being the worst. I had thoughts of what the heck... why not... all the usual thoughts when things get rough. Then, I reminded myself that it wouldn't help, it wouldn't change anything and it wouldn't make me feel better. I made it through and still smoke free and really proud of it. Today I had a different thought on it. With all that is going on in my house, I don't have a lot of control over what happens, can't control other peoples thoughts and feeling. BUT, I DO have control of smoking. I control if I do smoke or if I don't. SO, I took control of that. I won't smoke. I have come wayyyyy to far to give in now... and have to start all over at day 1. So, even though things are really rough for me right now... I will stay smoke free... It feels good to be able to go through really really rough times and not turn to cigs. It is empowering (did I spell that right, I am awful at spelling). Makes me see that I am a non-smoker... YAYYYYYYY!!! Now I am gonna go take a look around at the updated site.. I am excited. When I have more time and some alone time I will give details as to what is going on here in my house. Right now the kids are watching American Idol and my boyfriend is working on replacing our dryer that burnt up today.
