Heh Lainey, hope you feel better today. This may sound silly ,but I dont think its heartburn.I had this sensation in my chest also at the beginning of my quit.I think it is your lungs aching for lack of smoke,or part of healing process in the lungs. This hurt will diminish more, with each smokefree day.
HANG IN THERE,Lainey

Hey lainey,
I'm not a doctor or anything, but it sounds like you may have a case of acid reflux ? Might want to check with your pharmacist for something over-the-counter to help ease it. I know of something which has helped me but we're not allowed to mention brand names.. I think... Anyway it's just a suggestion.

lainey,
Try using lots of water to flush out any toxins and work with your doctor to come up with an eating menu that is right for you :)
