AM with you guys! I gained twelve pounds already,(most of it on my tummy) and everything is tight.(Not to mention I am only 4ft 10 so it has no where to go but on my tummy) It feels awful. But the quit came first and now it is time. I walk everyday, but need to add weight lifting and change up the diet a little more. Usually in spring I have no trouble dropping the weight, am in the yard alot. This year I just seems sluggish all around. As planting time gets closer, I hope it gets better, because I have lots to do out there. Lets try to motivate each other! Here's our chance, now that we've kicked nicotine, Lets kick the nasty FLAB! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,560 Amount Saved: $654.1 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 12 Mins: 55 Seconds: 46

We have an in-ground pool in our backyard. In the process now of getting it ready for the season, but it's still pretty yucky right now! I do enjoy swimming first thing in the morning before work when the weather gets just a smidge warmer, and I am exercising with some ladies at our church 2 to 3 times a week..... But.....that weight went on almost overnight and it is taking it's own sweet time coming off! It is rather discouraging!
I think I saw a spark generated down there somewhere......... :8o:
LMAO!!!!!! Electricity shortage? Just put some metal between my legs and we'll have all the electricity we need! My plan is to swim. I know I need to watch what I eat, but I HATE doing that! I'm going to see how many pounds I lose swimming and then I'll go from there. My biggest problem is going to be motivation. I'm lazy! I may be gung ho about this thing today, but when I'm sore tomorrow from swimming 1/2 an hour............ Crave the Quit! Definately. I gained 40 Lbs with this quit and I really do want to take it off. Talk about your thighs rubbing together---isn't that sooooo irritating? I think I saw a spark generated down there somewhere......... :8o: What ya got planned? A few weeks ago, I was putting on my favorite pair of jeans and they ripped! Right down the middle! Then, a few days later, my friend said that he'd noticed I'd developed a "tire roll." My thighs rub together now when I walk. ALL of my clothes are too tight! I just went out and bought some new (bigger) clothes because I'm popping out of the ones I own! I can't ignore this problem anymore, hoping that it will go away on its own! But, I've NEVER had a weight problem before! I've always been very athletic and fit, but with going to school full time and working and everything else, I honestly haven't had time to exercise, and eating healthy hasn't been my biggest concern. But, this weight gain has gone on too long. My body and I have been battling this thing out for quite some time now... sometimes I win and sometimes my body wins (ok, my body wins a little TOO much!!!) I'm sick of the yo-yoing! Last summer, I dislocated my shoulder and couldn't work out much for a while after that... but that was ALMOST A YEAR AGO! I don't have an excuse right now! Before that, I was in very good shape and was exercising often. But as soon as that happened, I ballooned up like you wouldn't believe! Then, last October, I lost 4 pounds (wanted to lose 10) so I could fit into my Halloween costume... but that 4 has come back and has brought about 7 or 8 friends with it! So, here I am. Ready to get serious. I'm not assigning a certain amount that I want to lose or a time frame that I want to do it in. I just need to get on a healthy regime and stay there! Who's with me? I need support and I need some people to do this with me. Anyone interested? Crave the Quit!
