Legend - What was the main motivation for this detox diet - was it to lose weight, get rid of nicotine cravings, help a particular medical issue, or what? Cigarettes Not Smoked

Basically, the diet consists of unseasoned meat, fish or poultry; brown or wild rice; unlimited vegetables, either raw or steamed; 2 eggs daily; fruit, but you have to eat 2 servings of veggies for every 1 serving of fruit. No sauces, no seasonings, no grilled nothing, no ketchup, no soy sauce, no dairy, no cheese, no yogurt, no pickles, no vinegar, no oils (besides flaxseed oil, there's a tastebud tickler if I ever saw one)...basically, just no. Then there are the supplements...oh, the supplements. A shake that you do 1-2x day, mix with flaxseed oil and fruits, and a bunch of pills. They are pretty critical to the whole thing working. My doctor, a chiropractor, he's my primary care doc, put me on the diet. I looked at the list, thought to myself "if I can quit smoking, this will be a cakewalk." Wasn't exactly a cakewalk, but man am I glad I did it. Something changed. The craves went way down. I don't know that it will have that effect on anybody else. Maybe it just refocused my attention from the missing smokes to the missing Big Mac.
