Good Morning all :) Snow on the ground, cold and windy and I DON'T CARE coz I'm a non smoker ! YIPEEEEEEEE ! After my breakfast I was craving bad but I find that if I just keep moving and doing I get past it. This is the best decision that I've made in a very very long time and I know that I'm going to hit brick walls as I go along but I'm feeling confident and prepared to fight it tooth and nail :) Will hang around for a while, read etc. and then out I go for my walk. Will then hit the local coffee shop and chill out there for a while.. maybe read and watch people. I forgot to mention in my original post that I'm 49 yrs old and smoked for 33 yrs.. eeeek.. horrible horrible horrible.. BUT that's all behind me now ! :) :) :) Enjoy your day ! Well wasn't after dinner a kick in the butt.. Geez didn't realize how frenzied I'd feel for that 'after dinner smoke'. So I hit my game plan and went directly into the kitchen and did up all the dishes, washed the counters and then made myself a decaf coffee. I worked off that trigger..hit it with everything I had. Good for me! lol.. I kind of respond to my own posts and I'm talking to myself too. Angel, looking forward to meeting Phil :) As for dinner - Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, peaches and cream niblet corn and a garden salad. Tomorrow - Roast beef, rice and peas, baby carrots and a garden salad. << Thursday's meal will be left overs for at least 2 days which means no full cooks for me! That's another one of the things I enjoy doing and so cooking will definitely keep me busy and creative. Ok.. Well there's a movie on in 10 mins or so with Tommy Lee Jones so I'm going to get myself set up with my celery sticks, carrot sticks and WATER :) Enjoy your evenings all :) Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Welcome Jean, Keep up the positive mental. I am convinced the battle is 85percent mental...and last the longest. Be prepared for the hard trigers. They come when you don't expect them. Have something in place way ahead of time. Take care and come here often. mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,477 Amount Saved: $326.31 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 13 Mins: 48 Seconds: 43

LOL! All I did was go away to start cooking dinner and look at all of YOU :) How wonderful is this??? What do you all do ..lurk around waiting for newbies.. *TEASING* Well if that's what it's all about than I AM in the right place! -- ummm... Phil? Is he weird or something..LMAO! If he's fun then I'm looking forward to 'meeting' him. ;) Well Sally I had gained some weight in the last couple of months but was able to drop about 12 lbs.. I'm far from over weight, just all that crappy food did it to me - comfort food ya know? I'll be watching what I eat but the quit is more important at this point right? Yes Tutti I will be staying close.. very close! Hey 'support specialists' come on board too.. how cool is this place!! Hmmm... rewards? Will start making a list for my milestones..Thanks :) Back to the kitchen.. Thanks everyone, really appreciate your responses. Jean - Glad to have you aboard! I think you will be surprised to learn how helpful the SSC is. I'm very impressed with your attitude. Now keep in mind that there will be moments in time when your positivity is challenged (nice way of saying you'll feel kinda awful) - but hang in there - it WILL pass. Just want you to be prepared and not give up. It's great to have you with us - keep on posting! P.S. I can't believe that Tutti didn't remind you to drink lots and lots of water! Jean - It sure sounds like you have the right attitude going into this. I think that will help a lot. Your excitement is contagious and it's boosted me up, too, on this dreary, cold and rainy day with the kids home from school! See. We really do help each other here. It's a great site.
