Heya Bear,
It's a beautiful day here today. Bright blue skies, the sun is shining brightly, and it's 72 degrees. The other night though, I was ready to run. :gasp: There were tornado warnings all around us so I got "prepared" in case I wound up in a tree. See, a Mama tells her little girl to always have those fresh drawers on "Just in case" you're in an accident. :8o: Those are words to live by!!! ;) Far be for me to hanging from a tree with not so fresh of drawers on.
"That Little Ole Band From Texas!!" You bet!! I've listened to ZZ Top for years. I'll have to look through their songs and see what fits in with our quit. A lot of Creedance Clearwater songs do.
Are you doing okay today, Bear? I hope you're having a great day with NO cravings or urges to smoke at all.
Stay Strong,
Tutti

I like ZZ top myself I think their Texas boys ??? :p
Gonna,
I play tunes, especially from the 50's and 60's, when I'm craving. You just gave me another song, "Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This"... There'd Be Days Like This My Mama Said. ;)
Hugs,
Tutti

Lainey-I still get urges at the oddest times. Certainly not as frequently, but usually it involves a new situation I encounter since quitting. There have been urges along the way that are equivalent to demonic possessions and some as mild as a fleeting brief thought....Just tough it out. Remember that ONE little puff could cost you the ENTIRE quit. NOPE for life! :)
Great stats there, Jimmy! Seems like just yesterday that Jimmy the Mick was getting :gasp: sick :8o:!

It's funny how timing works some times. I was at a casino yesterday for a couple of hours and I was dying for a smoke all day. Even on the drive home I had some pretty strong cravings.
DEFINATELY MENTAL! Had nothing to do with physical at all, 100% mental addiction. Once I got around something I had previously associated with heavier than normal smoking, cravings came back. It wasn't as hard to say no as it was with the double (mental and physical) addiction, but it still wasn't easy.
I wish I had the secret of success for you, but as you already know that's different for everyone.
Keep the faith and just say NO.
Jimmy the Mick

Sure the drug has gone after a few days which is why you continue to miss it.If this were only a 3 day journey we are on we wouldnt be here.(That WOULD be a shame in some respects)
Do you know what REALLY keeps me going?
Its the thought of going through it ALL again if I have just one puff!!
Phil
