Hard couple of days...

Mjbsuns, Some quitters experience a few days of adjustment, others do not. If you are, it's to get back to basics. Employ the same strategies that helped you through your first week to cope with cravings. This is a temporary adjustment and you will get through it. Just keep busy, use your strategies and keep close. We are cheering you on! Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

I haven't taken Chantix, no, but I can imagine how difficult this must be right now. Get yourself stacked up on some nice, healthy snacks, drink plenty of water, get some seeds, nuts, chewy stuff in. Keep yourself distracted. Get some exercise in. You have already been practising not smoking for so long - the hand to mouth action is something that won't be so urgent, I'm guessing. So, that's something. Sending you bags of strength. Hang on to your quit. Hey guys well I thought I was doing really well but after i've been of chantix for 2 days these cravings are just coming nonstop and their really hard to just let go... Only thing that is stoping me from going to the store to buy a pack is cause its currently been 73 days since I last smoked a cig and I dont want to break the streak and have to start over :( well I hope I can keep going I really dont want to be a smoker again... I was just wondering if anyone who has taking chantix has experienced intense cravings a few days after coming off it?

Thanks for the reply, mjbsubs. Knowing my body and the level of my addiction, I knd of figure I'll have a similar experience. I've got a couple months though, so I'll be prepared when the time comes!
