Sistermt, welcome to the April Ashkickers! We are delighted to have you with us. The first day is hard, but you can make it! And after you finish today successfully, day two will be even easier. It has helped me to drink gallons of ice water, practice deep breathing exercises, take long walks, and treat myself to a piece of hard candy when hit by a particularly strong crave.
People at this site are very helpful, so you will want to read lots of the discussions. There is a great deal of helpful information here. You will also find that many quitters are also using Chantix. It is hard to quit with a smoking spouse, but you CAN do it, and you will be all the stronger for facing that additional challenge. You made an excellent decision to quit, and we are all here to help you see it through.
