Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

I'm doing pretty good so far today. I say that because yesterday and last night I was slammed with hard cravings. I don't know if it was part of that 60 Day "bump in the road" or what. This morning though, they're gone. Phew!!! Legend, it sounds like you had a great time with your daughter. I just love fishing. But, you have a season on fishing? We don't have a fishing season down here. We can go anytime. You did great being exposed to "active smoking" for the first time. I'm so glad it effected you the way it did. Okay, you've gone on a road trip and exposed yourself to cigarette smoke all in one week!! You passed both tests with flying colors. Great Job!! Pea, your stats look great. Keep coming here and posting for us, okay? All of us February Quitters need to stick together. Congratulations on those fine looking stats you have there!! Went fishing with my daughter yesterday. Opening day, it's a tradition with us. We go to the same place every year, don't catch a doggone thing, and have the best time ever. Down the river from us, there was another group of fishermen. All of them were smoking. It was weird, in the early morning light, you could see the cloud of smoke around them, and following them around as they moved about. And it stank, boy did it stink. Yuck. That's the first time I've really come up close and personal with active smoking that it really impressed me as being so incredibly disgusting. I guess that's progress. Legend really amuses me.... Nurse29Husband IS on the SSC, he just doesn't use it. I think he's afraid to show his face 'round these parts after all the trash I've talked about him. At any rate, I did skip pool Wednesday night. Was too tired and didn't feel like dealing with smoke-filled bar. He apparently had one while he was there. But he'd gotten a speeding ticket, so he was 'frustrated'. Excuses, excuses if you ask me. Anyway, with his blessing, I went onto a website today and ordered 5 weeks supply of prepackaged foods for both of us. I could afford to lose like 20 pounds or so, and he could stand to drop like 50. We both want to lose the weight, but for right now we can't hit the gym like we want. Surprisingly, I've only gained like 5 pounds since I quit, but I could afford to lose a few extra (just to gain it all back when we get pregnant!!). Anyway, so that's what's new with us. I ordered diet foods today, and we've got 8:30 reservations at the steak house tonight! Gotta get it out of our system somehow! Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend...I'll be working days for a change so I probably won't be back here until next week. See you all then! ~nursey My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 866 Amount Saved: $256.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 35 Seconds: 13

Just stopping by to say hello. Don't beat up Legend too badly. I've noticed myself that housework just isn't as much fun as it used to be. At least I think it was fun about 35 years ago... I was just reading up on some other ideas to distract yourself when you are quitting, and I noticed a lot of people suggested doing housework to keep yourself busy. Amazing, doing housework never occurred to me. Not once. Be safe, Changing. We'll be here when you get back, and don't even THINK about smoking. While you're gone, I'm gonna start practicing the eye-rolling thing. Hi Gang - Just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm going out of town for a few days, and probably won't have email access again until Sunday night or Monday. Didn't want anyone to worry! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 53 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,884 Amount Saved: $344.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 41 Seconds: 43
