Jaset, I only want to say that we all know what smoking can do. Some people on this site smoked for many years and all the time they knew what smoking can do. They still smoked, so did you so did I. Some people quit for 5 years and started back again, the addiction is stronger than the will to live a healthy live. I think that when people want to quit smoking they need encouragement and support, they know what smoking can do. They need to know what to do when they have a difficult moment, how to overcome a crave and things like that. I believe in the positive way, not the negative. Dutch. Members, This is a scary portrayal of the outcome smoking produces: premature death. This may help some, it may not help others. We are all different. So, as we always say, take what you need and leave the rest. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

A Little "Shock therapy" is good every now & then. Smoker or non smoker, its a way to make a person think! Hey Jaset I know this would not have worked when i was a smoker, I just didnt get it, the addiction was too strong. But post that on a wedsite filled with people trying very, very hard to quit. and it may just stop somepone from lighting up again. Those are the stories that show me its just not worth it....Because I read it and think "I still would be wanting a smoke on the way down, but now that I am free, I am stronger, and I will not fail in life" My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 51 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,285 Amount Saved: $420.75 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 15 Mins: 51 Seconds: 1

Zombies & death - thats good reading man, i was really getting into it !. Did you know .... Smoking is responsible for approximately fifteen per cent of all deaths and Smoking causes about 30% of all cancer deaths. What i really want to know is ..... What is responsible for the remaining 85% of deaths and what causes the remaining 70% of cancer deaths ? It is unfortunate but it's true that death will happen to us all one day - wether we like it or not, smoker or non-smoker. Phil, i prefer Bon Jovi's "blaze of glory" Keep up the good work Jaset ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 826 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,652 Amount Saved: $5369 Life Gained: Days: 119 Hrs: 7 Mins: 53 Seconds: 35

Its 7.00am here glad I am reading this in the morning wouldnt have slept otherwise!!!!! You should have had a hole drilled in the coffin so that you could have a smoke in there! Can you imagine the curtains closing with puffs of smoke coming out the box? Cremated to the song 'Smoke gets in my eyes' Me xxx Phil My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 242 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,326 Amount Saved: 1270.5 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 10 Mins: 0 Seconds: 4

As I look down at myself, I cant beleive what Iam seeing. People staring at me. They look like zombies, there eyes are all red and tearing. My husband is sobbing. My beautifull son is hysterical as his girlfriend holds him tight. My daughter is just standing there, looking at me, tears are dripping from her cheeks. Her nose is all red. Why is my mother weeping? Who are all these people standing over me? People I dont even know. All my friends look so sad and lonley. Why is father Mike olding my father? This place smells so beautiful, so pure. The music is so soothing. This cant be happening!! As I turn my head, I noticed the white silk cloth that surrounds by body. Can this be happening? Am I in a coffin? OMG, I AM DEAD!! This is me in that coffin! My face is plastered with ulgy make-up. Why am I waring this wig? My whole family looks like zombies!! I could hear my 16 year old son say," why, why didnt she quit smoking" "Why did she leave us. Who is going to love me now?" OH PLEASE GOD, LET ME WAKE UP. I promise you I will never smoke again, I PROMISE!! I cant bare to see my famile crying so hard! Why didnt I quit when I had the chance. Please, dont close the cover, I cant be dead! Why are you closing the cover?? Cant you people hear me? PLEASE STOP! Iam only 40 years old, I cant be dead! I have a lot of living to do. I want to see my children get married. Who is going to watch over and protect my daughter? How can I meet my grand children? Why didnt I listen? Please God, give me one more chance, I PROMISE NOT TO SMOKE AGAIN!! Where are they taking me?
