Great post Sammi - You are so right......it is a major life change...but it feels so good to take back control of our lives. Non-smokers totally "don't" get it. It feels good to make decisions based on what we want to do and not around when we are going to feed our addiction. Every day you are building new "non-smoking" memories and experiences - Congratulations to you! I hear you loud and clear, Sammi. This is a lifechanging thing, this quitting. And sooo worth it. I pretty much had the same "alwayses" as well. But like you, I am tired of being controlled by nicotine. I'm glad we have this wonderful site to help us fight this addiction every step of the way!!!! Congratulations on 8 smoke free days. SammiJo - Great insight on this post ! 40 days rocks too, congratulations! As your new lives evolves as a non-smoker, you will note many new changes and come to "live" in them comfortably and wonder why it took ya so long to arrive here in the land of the non smoking. I have had many revelations since I quit and I view a lot of things differently (pretty much everything) and while it's not always easy, it's a good way to go through the rest of our lives. You're doing a fabulous job, thanks for sharing ~ CobenFan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 323 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,473 Amount Saved: $1130.5 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 17 Mins: 9 Seconds: 7
