I never heard of a doctor telling a pg lady to taper off due to stressing the baby.....I am not a medical person but common sense tells me that nicotine is poison and to put it into YOUR blood stream....in ANY way (smoking or NRT).....is to put it in your baby's bloodstream. Please destroy any smokes you have and when you have a craving, think of a baby with birth defects.....that stopped me from smoking cold in my tracks TWICE. stupidly, I just lit up after having the babies!
