Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............. I think I smell smoke......Who's smoking in here? Yep....I've been guilty as well. Sometimes I think I smell smoke when I smell something that REMINDS me of smoking...ever have that happen? Yeah....I once was going thru a rough patch and a friend lit one up in front of me and I kept thinking "Yeah...I can take her...kick her butt and steal her friggin cig..." I then got in my car and bit my steering wheel to keep from going to the store....Do whatever it takes...just don't smoke! Okay, I have to admit something, and I know that I'll probably get lectured for this, but... When I read posts about people relapsing, I feel jealous...jealous that they got to smoke. I know this is counter-everything that I know rationally. I know that this is addictive thinking. I know how destructive this is, etc. But I feel the need to admit this experience as it keeps happening. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this? OMG Gonna- I rememeber hearing about the steering wheel biting! Changing, I do remember feeling that exact same way. Mine was when I noticed my husband relapsed. It wasn't fair!!!! But...... this choice was mine. I make this decision to not smoke. One moment at a time........ Now, it's kind of hard to remember how real those jealousy feelings were. I have finally reached the point that the smell of a cig grosses me out. I think it was when I went to Las Vegas - OMG EVERYONE smokes there! And there is not enough ventilation, so all you do is breathe in the second-hand smoke. I could not do that on a daily basis!!! Wow- off subject, sorry..... You are not alone. Many of us yearned for just one more.......... But it is always that. One more. One more. One more. One more. One more. Take care of yourself, and make sure you reward yourself for those awesome 10 days!! A great reward just might make some of your jealousy turn around! 4my2girls My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 367 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,010 Amount Saved: $1200.09 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 12 Mins: 44 Seconds: 3

I did feel this. I felt very angry with my husband at first, because he could smoke and I couldn't. Once I admitted that to myself, I saw how ridiculous it was and the feeling went away. I think that will be true for you, too. Really and truly, when I quit and saw someone smoking or slipping??? I felt such a satisfaction at the CONTROL that I was able to maintain. no loosing it for me....my quit was a lot about getting in CONTROL of my life. I never was jealous of the smokers, not even on the first day. I know, I'm weird  Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1888 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75,552 Amount Saved: $10761.6 Life Gained: Days: 249 Hrs: 2 Mins: 19 Seconds: 59
