I know what you mean that you were surprised to discover that life really does go on after you quit smoking. It would seem so odd to a person who never smoked that we could ever even utter such ridiculous words, but such is the power of this addiction.
I remember thinking the same thing -- wow, I'm still here, I'm able to function and handle pretty much any and everything that comes my way and I can do that as a NON smoker! Who'd have believed THAT?!
Way to go, superhero! We'll see you on the BEACH before you know it!
