Audrey...been following your thread and am glad you are beginning to feel better. I too had really bad allergies...even before I quit smoking I had landed in the hospital a couple of time with severe sinus infection. (and sinus infection can be the cause of your eyes gunking up and sight seeming blurred) Allergy tests and shots over a period of 10 years helped me a lot....but what quitting smoking brought was wonderful....and it didn't come all at once either.
Please just hang tough....it takes our bodies a while to adjust to the fact that we are no longer bombarding them with all the chemicals and poisons of smoke. Your body had learned to function in "spite" of that....now it suddenly finds what it was fighting GONE! Our systems go a bit haywire adjusting to that.
I promise you things are gonna get a whole lot better for you....hang tough.....and DO reward yourself in some way for the fact that YOU are winning this battle
