Walking on solid ground/ when do i feel the pins and needles ?

I think it's different for everyone. I did great without much cravings the first week and in the second week (today's the last day) I started getting pretty strong cravings when I get home from work in the evening. It has happened for the past 3 nights. I haven't screwed up yet, but I actually thought about giving up 2 nights ago. I sat down, turned on my laptop and came in here for some advise. I read a bunch of posts and started to feel better. Sounds corny, but it is working for me. I have also been walking/running every day on the treadmill in my den. Find some outlet now, so if this happens to you...your ready. Say it with me.... I WILL NOT SMOKE TODAY! THAT'S FOR DAMN SURE! Jimmy The Mick Almost done with week 2 and damn proud of it! HI, I AM JUST WORKING ON MY 7TH DAY MYSELF. THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS WEREN'T SO BAD FOR ME AS I TRIED TO KEEP VERY BUSY. TODAY IS A LOT WORSE BUT I KEEP THINKING TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE EVEN BETTER FOR ME. I AM USING THE PATCH AND GUM. I EAT LOTS OF ORANGES AND EAT COMFORT FOODS LIKE GOOD OLD CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP. FOR SOME REASON THAT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER. DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN, IT IS JUST WAITING FOR YOU AND IT WILL GRAB YOU WITHOUT NOTICE!!! BE READY FOR IT, AND I WISH YOU LUCK WHEN IT FINALLY DOES HIT. EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT WITH THEIR QUITS, MAYBE YOU ARE A LUCKY ONE THAT WON'T HAVE MANY CRAVINGS----I DOUBT IT THOUGH!!! KEEP US POSTED HERE AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOING. Hi I am just a baby on this walk myself, but I do know that what you feel or sense about this is very much tied to the individual. However, having said that you will find a commonality of expression here that will strengthen your resolve. If you are not feeling any discomfort then that is a great blessing, and I am very happy for you...Just walk very close to yourself on this road. nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 762 Amount Saved: $217 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 21 Mins: 38 Seconds: 6

Never! Don't look for a rattlesnake if you're walking on a city sidewalk. Now, if one comes along, you will know that it wouldn't be totally unheard of and you'll post immediately. Otherwise, fly away free and never look back. Have you checked out the Hall of Fame yet? It took me a while to know about this and it's nice to see how some of those folks took off running. Also, have you started your meter? You're doing GREAT! Sweeteedon, Just as the other members have instructed, check the box: show quit meter when posting on the site. If you continue to have difficulties, please contact us via the feedback section. Bernie, Welcome to the SSC! Many quitters have felt just the way you do now. It's normal. The unknown is always scary. Luckily, our online quit program and forums can help replace that fear with knowledge and teach you what you need to know about quitting. It is only as difficult as you want it to be. Smoking is a choice and one day at a time you have to re-commit yourself to not smoking today. Hope this helps. Looking forward to hearing from you again. You're not alone in this. Call on us and we will see you through. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team
