Hey ... Good to see everyone. I have to admit that I'm not the best at or most consistent at posting and giving support. Sometimes I feel like I don't have the right words or that I sound like an idiot. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and I say to myself that if I can't support everyone then I just won't post at all. But I do want to give back to this forum cause its a major support to me! Anyone else feel like this? See .. now I feel like an idiot. :) Colleen My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 664 Amount Saved: $312 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 23 Mins: 37 Seconds: 38

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi My name is Colleen and I have not had a cigarette for 25 days and I am not sad about it or mad about it or feel like I am missing anything. Tonight I am so grateful to have been given this gift of freedom and life. I have quit many times since I first got hooked back in high school. That was more than 30 years ago. Each time I quit I was pi**ed off that I couldn't smoke anymore but you could. Felt I was missing out. Felt I was denying myself something. This time all I feel is freedom and RELIEF. When I stopped trying to justify and rationalize my smoking and accept it for what it really was - an addiction, more powerful than me-I knew that as long as I never put the drug back into my body again I would remain quit. Withdrawal sucks forsure but I can do this! I am doing it! For all of you who post ... thanks ... you are amazing! For all of you who just read ... isn't this the best site ever? For all of us ... Just4Today we never have to smoke again!
