Light, You've received some great advice from your fellow quitters. Be kind to yourself in the weeks to come. If symptoms persist despite your efforts, please consult your doctor. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

Hey light... Congrats on 4 days smokefree!!! Please remember all the reasons why you wanted to quit in the first place... focus on that. Your right in the middle of "Hell Week", the toughest time for most people. Don't cave in... make the right smokefree choice. See the light at the end of the tunnel... in a few days you'll be there! Well smoking is not going to help. I know that for a fact. The Junkie lies - don't listen. I want you to sit down and concentrate on you're breathing - only that. IN and OUT. If other thoughts come in your mind, just say ..."Not now." Let them pass through. Get back to concentrating on breathing. Try doing this when you feel that tingling in your chest, like someone is trying to squeeze it. You are feeling anxious and that is completely normal. I felt the very same thing last week. It will pass. Go put your head under the covers for a little while. How about a walk? Read some posts here. You are going to get through this. You are doing it. Keep going.... Breathe. You are in control, not the Junkie. light.... let go. Relax your shoulders. Take a deep cleansing breath. Instead of seeing all that has to be done, see one small thing you can do. Do that one small thing. Wipe out the bathroom sink. Drink some cold water. Take a hot shower. Don't think of the lumber and stuff as crap. Think of it as part of the road to a new kitchen. Necessary stuff for improving your life. Same as the feelings you are having...necessary stuff for improving your life. Where's your quit meter? Show it and be proud of what you have accomplished.
